A Fresh Start

Well for all of us, today kicks off 2012! Happy New Year!
Now I know all of you are looking forward to another year in high school right?...right.
Well some people do look forward to it and I'm glad for them, but if you're like me, you have a hard time looking forward to a whole new year of school.  For the people who are not looking forward to the year, here are some things to do and keep in mind.
1.  Take advantage of a new start.  It is a chance to start school with a new mindset.  Go to school and try to make some new friends, or try being more involved in class.  Changing up the way you act might even make school more interesting.
2. Set some goals for in and out of school.  This might be going for a 4.0, or just deciding to start keeping your room clean.  Keeping your goals reasonable may be better because you will not give up as easily when you are not achieving the goals easily.  What ever your goals are, work hard to achieve them!
3.  Remember anything is possible, and it is never too late to change yourself.  If there are people you don't like, or people who don't like you, try a new approach with them.  Maybe try thinking that you don't know them, so you can see them with a fresh pair of eyes.  Personally, whenever I don't like someone, everything they do irritates me.  This is bad because then there is no chance of becoming friends with them, so at least try to get along with people.

Keep these things in mind and take advantage of the fresh start!  Happy new year! I wish everyone the best for 2012!
